The World Conference on Harnessing the Potential of ICT for Capacity Building is currently taking place at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France.
The three-day event focuses on the use of information and communication technology, including satellites, to train and educate communities that have limited or no access to formal education channels.
It is one of UNESCO’s thematic meetings in preparation for the second meeting of the World Summit on the Information Society (Tunis, Tunisia, 16-18 November 2005).
